So mom and Scott were on the road early. I held off on riding until after they left. Then I thought about what I'd rather do in the heat of the day... ride or plant bulbs? I went with ride. So I set out to get all my new caladiums planted. I had just shy of 200 bulbs to plant and two elephant ears (that were sprouted already) for the two pots near the front door. I got started shortly after mom and Scott left. First step was inventory and instruction reading (mostly which ones were full sun, partial sun, partial shade, or full shade). Then laying them out (because once they're out of the bag, good luck identifying them). Then the dreaded digging holes and filling them back in after the tuber is planted. Needless to say, the crouched position and the heat (which wasn't terrible at all yesterday) adds to the fun.Once the tubers were in the ground and the dirt was knocked off of my extremities, it was time for the Sunday ride. I walked into the house and it was so nice from a climate perspective, I decided to take a day off the bike and ride the indoor trainer :-0 I rationalized that by virtue of the fact that I had work I could do on the laptop at the same time and then once I got off the trainer, while I cooled down, I processed the photo du jour and posted.
