On one of my very rare and always brief breaks during the day, I ran out to do a couple errands and hit the grocery. Since the photo du jour was still on the list of things I needed, I had the camera in the bag in the back at the ready and was intending to drive by the park down the road from my place in Carrollton and see what caught my eye. I didn't make it any further than the end of my street before my eye was drawn to one of my neighbors' fenceline. The lighting from the trees in front of the groundcover and the way the breeze was blowing the trees to move the muted light around definitely struck my fancy and as we all already know, I'm a sucker for the flower shots. There were actually several finalists in this shoot off and this was my favorite of the lot. As I've mentioned before, I sometimes feel like I'm in a flower rut, but since Summer is so hot here in Texas and there's not much color during the Winter here either, Spring is the perfect time for a flower shot guy to enjoy himself and I've been doing that this season. Plus, I believe these guys are pretty fleeting. I don't remember seeing them yesterday or the day before. Gotta take the opportunity while the opportunity is there.
